Clay Harris 10th in Southbound Throwdown finale at All-Tech Raceway
With the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series in his home state of Florida, Clay Harris made the quick trip to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Friday afternoon for the $5,000-to-win Southbound Throwdown opener.
Locking himself into the A-Main through qualifying, Harris was running inside the Top-10 when another competitor spun him out in turn three. He was scored 22nd in the rundown.
The bad luck continued on Saturday as after only getting one lap in qualifying, Harris started his heat race fifth but managed to grab the final transfer spot in fourth. Starting the $15,000-to-win finale from 14th, Clay only made up four spots as the track started to take rubber.
Clay and his team have decided to fall off the HTFSDS tour and chase Rookie of the Year honors with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
