Clay Harris tops C Class Late Model field at Needmore Speedway

On Saturday evening Clay Harris visited Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) competing in two divisions for the Gene Maine Memorial. In a stout field of 57 Crate Racin’ USA entries, Harris timed in fifth fastest in his group before placing fifth in his heat. Transferring into the B-Main for one final shot at the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Clay came two spots shy of a transfer position with a fourth-place outing.

In his C Class Late Model, Clay outdueled Cody Overton in the 25-lap feature to register his seventh win of the season, which came over Overton, Devin Walker, Ty Giles, and Landon Mathews. He earned $1,500.
