Top-5 finish in Spring Thaw at North Florida Speedway

Saturday night found Clay Harris in action at North Florida Speedway (Lake City, Fla.) to take part in the American Late Model Super Series season opener. Drawing 22 Late Models for the Spring Thaw 25, Harris timed in second fastest overall in time trials behind Mark Whitener. Earning the seventh-starting position for the $1,500-to-win A-Main via the redraw, Clay clawed forward two spots in the 25-lapper to register a fifth-place finish, trailing Mark Whitener, Adam Bedenbaugh, O’Neal Wayne, and Bubba Whitener across the line.
