Harris scores a pair of Top-10 finishes in Bristol Dirt Nationals features
Pulling double duty in the inaugural Bristol Dirt Nationals, Clay Harris invaded Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) on Tuesday afternoon to kick off the week with qualifying features. With passing points determining the starting grid for the A-Main, Harris passed four cars in his 604 Late Model to finish fifth.

With the track’s curfew postponing both of his features to Wednesday afternoon, Harris clawed forward four spots in his Late Model feature to place seventh.
Starting his Modified preliminary feature in third, Clay battled for a Top-5 finish the majority of the 20-lapper but slipped back to finish seventh after a late-race caution.
Persistent rain wiped out Thursday’s program.
Following an off-day on Friday, Harris was forced to qualify for both features through consolation events on Saturday after falling short via passing points. Rolling off on the front row of his Late Model B-Main, Clay secured his spot into the $7,500-to-win A-Main with a runner-up finish behind Jason Fitzgerald. In his Modified, Clay gained two spots in his B-Main to pick up the 10-lap victory. Earning the 15th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win main event, Harris advanced through the field nine positions to register a sixth-place finish.
