Clay Harris

11th-place finish in Fastrak World Championship at VMS

Clay Harris made the trip to Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Va.) on Friday afternoon to pilot his Rescue Metal Framing No. 6 Late Model for the Fastrak World Championship.

Drawing a stout field of 54 Late Models for the two-day event, Harris timed in 10th-fastest in his group before placing fourth in his heat, relegating him into the B-Main on Saturday night.

Needing to place second or better to make the $50,000-to-win Fastrak World Championship, Clay raced to a second-place finish, which pinned him on the 11th for the main event. Coming one spot shy of a Top-10 finish, Harris passed 11 cars in the 60-lap affair to register an 11th-place outing.
