Mechanical issues continue to plague Harris in Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series events
On Friday afternoon, Clay Harris joined the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series for first leg of their doubleheader weekend at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.).
Harris qualified fourth-quickest and finished fourth in his heat race which placed him on the fourth row for the main event. When rolling out for the $5,000-to-win feature, the crew discovered an issue that forced him to pull off before the green flag flew.
Looking for better luck at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway on Saturday, Clay missed the setup in qualifying but made up two spots in his heat race to finish third. When pulling onto the track for the feature, Harris discovered a broken oil pump belt and was once again forced to pull in early.
