Red Farmer Tribute brings Harris to Talladega Short Track
With the NASCAR festivities happening across the street, Clay Harris headed to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) to compete with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series in the Red Farmer Tribute weekend.
Following the fourth-quickest lap in his qualifying group, Clay finished runner-up in his heat which earned him a seventh-place starting position in the 38-lap main event. Slipping outside of the Top-10 in the $5,038-to-win feature, Harris rallied back to the ninth position before pulling off with just four laps to go. He was scored 19th.
Hoping for a better outing on Saturday afternoon, Harris nabbed the final transfer spot in his B-Main before pulling off early in the $9,700-to-win finale which resulted in a 23rd-place finish.
