Harris fifth in Spring Nationals stop at Waycross Motor Speedway
Finding himself in familiar territory on Thursday afternoon, Clay Harris unloaded his Wilkerson Farms No. 6 Late Model at Waycross (Ga.) Motor Speedway for the first event of the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals opening weekend.
Qualifying fourth-quickest in his group, Harris lined up for the 40-lap main event from the fourth-row and picked off three competitors to finish inside the Top-5 in fifth. He trailed Ethan Dotson, Ryan Gustin, Donald McIntosh and Brandon Overton in the $7,553-to-win feature.
Friday's and Saturday's events at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway and Senoia (Ga.) Raceway were cancelled due to inclement weather.
