Clay Harris mounts pair of podium finishes in opening weekend with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

Kicking off the 2026 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season, Clay Harris jumped into his Wilkerson Farms No. 6 machine at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Thursday afternoon to start 2026 Speedweeks in his home state of Florida.

As 36 competitors unloaded for night one, Harris came off the trailer with speed as he qualified second-fastest in his group and picked up a heat race victory. Clay was running second in the feature event before he slammed the wall and wound up 22nd.

Harris found much better luck in Friday's feature event, starting eighth and finishing runner-up to Devin Moran in the 50-lap feature. Clay continued his fantastic weekend on Saturday night as he once again landed on the podium. In the $15,000 finale, Harris finished behind Hudson O'Neal and Brandon Overton to record his second podium finish in a row.

Harris is currently sixth in the LOLMDS point standings.
